The RSAYS Cruising Committee welcome all Squadron Members to join them for the long weekend.
Sail, fly or ferry to Kangaroo Island.
The Kangaroo Island Yacht Club will host a welcome dinner on Friday night and a fun-filled itinerary has been planned to help support local KI businesses over the weekend.
La Boheme Overnight Cruise
Saturday 26 March
The Cruising Committee invite Squadron Members to take their boats to Glenelg on the afternoon of Saturday 26th March and spend the night on anchor listening to State Opera’s production of La Boheme which will be performed on the beach. The music, performed live by great singers and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, will be amplified through a large PA. Boats are encouraged to arrive at Glenelg around 6pm, and the opera will begin at 7.30pm. Obviously the experience will be weather dependant, but in good conditions this will be an extraordinarily memorable and romantic cruising opportunity. To add to the ambience of the evening we encourage skippers to hoist bunting once they’ve laid their anchor, and to add low-voltage festoon lights to illuminate boats after dark.
