Snellings Beach

Snellings Beach

General Position:

35 39.9 S  137 04 E westwards for over half a mile.

Note: approx. only. Do not use as an anchoring point on your GPS.

Shelter From:

S though E to NE

The sandy bay provides good holding off the nearly ½ mile beach. Landing can be difficult as a swell can break heavily on the shore, in which case the western end is more amenable.

For best shelter, anchor inshore from of the outer end of the reef, in depth suitable to your draft.

A partially submerged reef extends NNW from the north-eastern headland. The end rock that is just awash is hard to see in some conditions – and the reef extends some distance on underwater from this rock.
