The marina at Wallaroo is large but at the time of writing incomplete. Located North of the main jetty and the yacht club the entrance is clearly marked by beacons.
Only two hours drive from Adelaide Wallaroo offers an excellent base for exploring Northern Spencer Gulf. The marina berths for visitng yachts are located on the starboard side just inside the entrance.(See photo below). There is a large prawn fleet based here and and whereas their berths have power and water, at the time of writing the visitors’ berths did not. The surrounds are still under construction but the marina offers a safe haven from all directions. It is a short walk into town and to the yacht club. Wallaroo offers many interesting historical sites and has many facilities including five pubs. In the absence of coverage on VHF CH16 and 81 you can contact ‘Wallaroo Base’ on VHF 71 which is the Prawn Fishing Association channel transmitting from the Wallaroo wheat silos.
