Eileen Hardy Trophy
Originally won by Eileen Hardy, sailing Norallie in the 1928 Ladies race. The trophy has been rededicated in 2010 by her grandson, John Hardy.

The Eileen Hardy Trophy is presented once a year for excellence in seamanship by a female racing sailor who is a member of the Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron. Boat owners and Squadron members are asked consider the nomination of a female sailor who has made a significant contribution to the boat and the team’s performance and culture during the forthcoming sailing season.
Some of the criteria to be considered when making your nomination:
Contribution to RSAYS community.
Participation on boat
Coaching and mentoring of others
Boat preparation and ongoing maintenance
Contribution to improving the boat’s performance
Racing experience
The nominations are judged by other respected Squadron female sailors, and the winner will be announced at the RSAYS Presentation Night in 2027.
