Women on Water (WOW)

Women on Water is a great opportunity to improve your skills in a safe and constructive environment under the supervision of coaches on the water, with instruction in match and short course racing. Sessions are aimed at all skill levels.

WHEN:   Thursday evenings starting 14th of October 2021 until the 31st of March 2022. Please arrive at 5:45pm. Each session is for approximately 2 hours depending on the weather.

PRICE:   $80 for a block of 4 sessions.

WHAT TO BRING:  White soled or enclosed non-slip shoes, a hat, sunglasses (preferably with a strap to avoid losing them) and a personal floatation device (PFD) if you have one. Don’t panic if you don’t have a PFD as we can supply a life jacket for you if you let us know before your session. Please dress according to the weather conditions on the day. Layers of clothing are a good idea, and remember that it can be colder out on the water than on the land. You may get wet, so if you don’t have waterproof clothing you might want to bring a spare change of clothes to change into afterwards.

EXTRA INFORMATION:  Please note that spaces are limited to 16 people per Thursday. You will sail the RSAYS fleet of J24s with three or four other participants.  We sail in most weather conditions except strong winds.  Should we not be able to sail on any given day we spend the time working on some sailing theory and other practical skills that can be practised on the boat whilst in the marina or on the clubhouse lawn.
